Okies,

Had Prophecies a while, just don`t play it alot. Have a 8 W/Mo. So, know the basics of the game and all.
Went ahead and got Factions, cause I have more time to game, and want to get a tad more into GW. But, I`m starting a new character(not an Ass or Rit) to get refreshed.

So the question-
If was your call, would you start with Prophecies again, or just go strait to Factions?

Prophecies is better if you want to become really immersed in a large world and a big in-depth story... it also means you'll be doing a lot mroe quests to gain your levels because they are less rewarding, but in my opinion, more interesting.

Factions gets you to the max level really fast (too fast in my opinion) and later on the content is more varied (challenge missions and competitive missions) than in Prophecies, but the story of missions is less compelling, and the characters are far less memorable.

Factions missions you do are not like mission and bonus you are ranked due to your performance in that mission.

Just finished Factions like 20 minutes ago. I'd really start with Prophecies if I were you. I just feel so much more attached to my Prophecies characters with their old Tyria 15k armor and hard earned (not bought) weapons. Factions is a great expansion pack, but the epic feel of Prophecies makes it still my favorite.

Oh yeah, technically Factions is a standalone game, but it definatly FEELS more like an expansion... so just play through Prophecies first, and then enjoy the extra missions in Cantha

Start with prophecies and then move into factions ... both great games.

100% prophecies.
Factions gets too hard far too quick and I can see it putting off new players that havent played prophecies.
I loved every minute of prophecies, but beginning to go off Factions due to the difficulty so early on in the game .
